We are seeking an experienced screen writer to create a short film script.
Parameters for the story:
10 minutes in length (give or take)
Small cast (ideally 3 or less not including minors and extras)
Economical to produce
Genre is preferably drama or thriller (not interested in excessive violence or anything gratuitous). We will view other genres because having a great story is the most important parameter.
The production will take place in Duluth, MN. Research the area, it's a diverse place (see Duluth trailer [url removed, login to view], “Glensheen” is not an option). There is an opportunity to incorporate stunning cinematography and we want to incorporate the “feel” of the city. The lift bridge in Duluth is iconic, we want it in the film, maybe one of the characters is the lift bridge operator, be creative.
It must have great characters, a solid structure, and a positive ending.
Compensation:
We are not offering a lot of money for this script, instead we are offering to produce it for whomever comes up with the best story. This is a promo piece for the production team [url removed, login to view], and the writer (there's no direct financial gain for making this type of film). The film will debut on Destination Duluth, [url removed, login to view] (over 62,000 likes) thus the importance of the Duluth connection, then the sky's the limit. Story Front Inc. will be the sole owner of the intellectual property, all rights reserved.
