2D canvas web player for eSports replay (Continue a project)

[login to view URL] is a data analytics website in eSports (currently) CS:GO.
We need a web player, to review a match in 2D. We would like to be able to see the movements and actions of the players with the map in the background. The final product needs to be functial with placeholders, we take care of the CSS. The data required is provided and documentanted by us. It comes in JSON format.

Someone else already started this project for us and used Canvas for it.

We need you to add the other functualities to our player. Also, we need a documentation or comments as well, so that we can work with the code later. I attached a detailed briefing.
