I would suggest going to [login to view URL] and downloading the app. My concept is to build on the basic foundation of connecting with people that have in interest in travel. In addition to this:
Stage 1:
(1) I would like users to be able to upload photos to the app- these will be displayed in web res, however when given the option, users will be able to download the hi res (original) image to print and share at a later stage. So the app will almost act like a "Dropbox" account where it will act as a back up for your travel snaps.
(2) Users will be able to drop pins on a map and recommend/rate attractions which will be linked to photos. So they can either drop a pin on their "world map" and link images from their profile to this pin. Other users when they click on that pin or search # (similar to Instagram) will be able to see photos and read reviews on these attractions.
(3) The biggest part of this will be the analytics- I would like to see statistics on users as to where they are dropping pins, dates, and be able to track their travel patterns and places they go all on a dash, an where they came from, how long their trips have been.
(4) Travel Planner - This will allow the user to plan journeys, drop pins on a map, add locations/businesses/destinations to a wish list or their planner and the ability for them to share their itineries with people.
(5) There will be a seperate login for business owners where they can add their business by dropping pins on a map. By doing so they will pay a small annual fee, which will be invoiced and paid online.
