NFL Kids Apparel- 49ers Mascot Caricature

I would like to create fashionable and "hip" athletic apparel for babies- eventually creating onesies for all sports teams, starting with the 49ers. I would like for the image to be a play on the team's mascot- so for example, the 49ers have a gold-rush man (google "Sourdough Sam") as their mascot. I would like a caricature of him, but would like for the images to be cool, NOT cute. Like they were back in the 1940's. Something that parents would see, would recognize as 49er gear, and either chuckle at, or wish that they could have for themselves!
If the 49er onesie is a hit, I would like to expand the business and make onesies for all NFL teams, and possibly move to other sports. If I like your artistic style, this could be a great opportunity to obtain more assignments.
For copyright reasons, we cannot use NFL logos, but can use colors and artistic renderings of mascots. Feel free to add something in the background, like the Golden Gate Bridge, or something SF-ish. Please send me samples if interested!
