Recover Missing/Lost OneDrive For Business Files

I have an Office 365 user who's OneDrive for Business files and folders had not been syncing correctly for quite some time. She had no clue that none of her files were syncing to her OneDrive for Business. Once this was discovered today, I tried reestablishing the sync, but with no luck. I then downloaded and ran the Office 365 Removal tool and tried to resolve with a fresh Office 365 install. Once I reestablished the sync connections, it was syncing but suddenly all of the files that had not synced correctly with OneDrive for Business for all of that time are nowhere to be found. Any assistance in restoring these files somehow would be greatly appreciated. I have tried a copuple of file recovery tools for myself, but am not exactly 100% sure where I should be looking. Thank you.
