modify/add function to graph in php emoncms system

Hi I operate a emon cms site to monitor energy and electrical load. I need to add a function to graphs to show a peak value when zoomed out.
eg see attached doc, when looking at the graph in a weekly view it will summerise the line data and as a result the line on the graph may not peak as high as the highest peak, until you zoom in on the graph to an hourly view the line peaks may actually be much higher.
purpose/need for this function is so an electrician can look at the graph and identify when electricity load has gone to high for the system to handle without zooming into an hourly view and back out to a weekly view.
