php appointment scheduler

I'm building a website in MODx CMS for my client that needs to include an appointment scheduler - similar to a spa or hair salon. The appointment scheduler is just too much with my experience level.?

A single hour slot can have up to 2 or 3 appointments scheduled. Once a customer requests an appointment, we need to develop an admin component that will "approve" the appointment and assign to a resource.?

MODx is built using php/mySQL - would really like a developer with experience using this CMS.
