Desired situation:
when ordering a child product of a configurable product, the resulting order may only contain the simple product.
After adding the (simple) child product to the cart (from the configurable product page), there must be no difference with adding the identical simple product to the cart (from the simple product page)
In other words:
1-replace configurable product by simple product
when ordering a child product of a configurable product, the resulting order may only contain the simple product.
2-if simple product url is requested, it should be forwarded to the configurable product
I am currently using the well-known SCP extension to bypass the (more complex) default pricing behaviour of Magento. As a result all major properties (price/description/attributes) of the child product are shown, and directly taken from the child's simple product settings
