NOTE: Please only bid on this project if you can start immediately. I need these items done right now. Sorry for the rush. I'm supposed to present this to the client tomorrow. Thank you! :-)

----------------------------------------------------------------

I need help with a few quick PHP-related items. They are just little bits of code that I need to add display and usability features to a blog I'm working on here: [url removed, login to view]

Here's what I need:

1. In the archives, I want to limit it to display only the last 6 months and the last 5 years worth of articles (with a link that says "Older" for anything older than that.)

2. The "tags" script I wrote is currently changing the size of the tags in the tag cloud based on their overall percentage of usage. Doing it this way, though, means I rarely have larger sized tags. (See "example image A".) What I want is for it to look more like "example image B". I need this code converted to use a different method for assigning font sizes so that there is a better assortment of font sizes. It should also take into account the total number of tags visible on the page. For instance, if I designate 20 tags to be shown, then perhaps the two most used tags can be assigned the largest font, with the next two tags assigned the next largest font, and so on. Better yet, if there is a way to make a truly relative font-sizing scheme so that fonts that are used more are given more weight than lesser used fonts, and this should be represented across the font sizes. In other words, the most used tag should always use the largest font option, and the least used tag should always be assigned the smallest font, with all other tags falling somewhere in between. I'm sure you get the idea. I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to best accomplish this.

3. In the list of articles on the page, I am displaying only a certain number of characters as a preview of the full article. To get to the full article, you can click the "MORE >>" link. This works fine. However, I want to hide this "MORE >>" link if there are less than the number of characters I have designated to show.

4. Below the article preview and "more" link, there are links next to "Posted In" which shows which categories each article has been assigned to. Again, this is working great. But, I would like you to find a way to have the final comma removed from the list of "Posted in" categories. I tried using the PHP rtrim function, but it removes all of the commas. Perhaps if we could assign all the output to a variable, and then use rtrim to remove the final comma from the output variable. I know you'll know what to do. :-)

----------------------------------------------------------------

I can give you FTP access to a folder on the site so that you can draw from the database if that would help. Otherwise, all the files you will need (including some you don't really need) are attached to this job posting.

Specifically, you will be working from the "[url removed, login to view]" file. Then, some of the code will appear on the included PHP files "[url removed, login to view]" and "[url removed, login to view]". The font-sizes are in the CSS file under "pagination". (The other files are included just in case you want them to keep the look of the page largely in tact.)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks, in advance, for your interest! I look forward to working with you!
