Executable browser integrated with domain

The program will require an? Install/uninstall wizard executable.

Features required for the program are:-

On each execution, the program must? check online for updates and prevent further use until updates are completed

On each program execution it must validate login information against an online member database

When updated and the? login info is validated, a browser opens with a hosted navigation menu that appears as the default home page

No address bar & no search facility ??" browsing restricted to sites displayed on home page

Normal menu options -? File, Tools, Help etc.

Normal browser functions - back, forward, refresh etc.

No http access to the domain where navigation is hosted through normal browser without valid username/password.

Admin needs control of the number of simultaneous sessions allowed under each user account.

The program also needs to collect anonymous usage statistics.

The html content of the website which the browser accesses will be posted as a separate bid request but bidders on this project will be required to set up certain online functionality including the user validation, site access restriction and the? update download? procedure for the executable.

Bidders should state what language(s) will be used to complete this project.

## Deliverables

Overview: The end product required is an installation program that can be installed on multiple MS-Windows based PCs. The installation program must? install and configure a standalone Internet Browser which checks for, and carries out, updates before allowing execution. The program should only execute if the username and password entered in an initial login screen is validated on an online database. Once updated and user-validated the program must open a re-sizeable? browser window which will? display the contents of? a predetermined URL. The html which will be posted at the default URL is not part of this project. More details of menu items and functionality are provided elsewhere? in the spec. The user should at all times be able to return directly? to the home page with one click.

The installation program should include standard copyright terms and conditions and a disclaimer which must be agreed to before installation continues.
