We are a Vancouver-based Chartered Professional Accountants public practice firm providing quality accounting audit, tax, and consulting services. We have built a solid foundation of clients from a wide spectrum of backgrounds and industry sectors. Our client base is predominantly owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals, estates and trusts, investment holding companies, charities and not for profit organizations. The Opportunity: We are looking for a full-cycle bookkeeper and payroll administrator to join our firm. This position, working with the Firm Administrator, will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions of the firm. The Job Description: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing full-cycle bookkeeping with minimal supervision Performing full accounts payable duties Performing full accounts receivable duties Performing full payroll duties up to and including monthly and year-end reconciliations Preparing financial statement back up for monthly reconciliations Preparing monthly GST returns and remittances Preparing quarterly Worksafe returns and remittances Preparing monthly bank account reconciliations Preparing various other financial reporting as required Handling petty cash Performing other firm- related duties and projects as required The Qualifications: At least five years of prior experience in a full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll role Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, work independently Excellent written and oral communication skills Above average analytical and organizational skills High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional service Ability to learn new software and look for ways to improve current processes Completion of accounting/payroll education is desirable but not required We offer a competitive salary, an annual profit sharing plan and health and insurance benefits.
