Software Requirements Specification
INTRODUCTION
Travel Abroad Services is a complete solution for Travel services. The system will interact with Companies, Clients and automatic feeds (from selected websites). The online portal will help companies with the following:
1. Allowing companies to manually feed their data and prices into our database from their log-in area, with some data un-editable (ratings by clients etc)
2. Allowing clients (customers) to log-in and find details of their purchase
3. Allowing our admins to log-in and interact with both companies and clients through live chat or/and messages left, and the ability to delete a clients log-in area after a certain date
4. Allowing master admin to access all three log-in areas, the ability to manage the areas (delete and create new log-in access and interact)
5. Signing up companies to gain access to their log-in area and allowing them view annum history (start of subscription to end of subscription), with renew date, money gained through us and money spent
6. Managing clients reservations, by automatic feed of paid itinerary and services into the log-in area
7. Managing clients and company accounting (Accepting Payments through paypal and google checkout)
8. Ability to attach and download files for printing (in client and company log-in)
9. Exporting all sort of reports (Operation, Financial, Sales, Employees)
10. Payment button (amount customisable) within the client and company log-in area to pay an x amount to us
11. Managing contact lists, including (Sending promotional emails)
12. Allow clients to comment on services which is viewed and passed by admin and into the un-editable log-in area of the respective company
13. Managing company application through application form and sent directly to master admin
The idea is to offer a complete system to manage their business, and minimize the human errors. Also to offer the client the exceptional experience when booking their services.
Front-end of the system
The front end of the system will be well designed and concise for easy and quick usability:
1. The user will be able to select a number of filters
2. This will then compare (from manual feed and automatic feed) and produce a list of services for the user to select
3. The services selected are able to be viewed on a map (google maps)
4. The services selected can then be calculated and displayed
5. Some services are redirected and are able to be purchased on a external site
Technical
The front end of the system will be well designed and concise for easy and quick usability:
1. The site is currently created on wix with an embeddable function available (html)
2. The system should be somewhat secure as payments will be processed
3. For the future I would like the ability to allow other sites to use this to potential get an affiliate program (in a widget form maybe) and also like to embed this on pages like facebook
PROJECT TIME FRAME
Project should follow three stages:
Stage 1::Designing the blue print of the work flow
1. Including functions
2. Priorities
3. Basic Design
Stage 2::Completing the Beta Version
1. Complete designing the functions.
2. Complete the design
Stage 3::Testing for bugs, and training
1. After securing the database, we will test the system.
2. Being sure that the project is a 100% bug free
3. Design an easy and friendly data management for companies and admin
4. Hosting the project online on a private server for testing
The designer will agree to offer technical support to the project for a time frame of 2 months in case of any enhancement or discovery of errors and malfunction in the system (only for smaller malfunctions).
Following the agreement to start working on this project, I will be provide more in-depth details on each aspect of this project including type of data feed.
