As a representative of Belize at United Nations Climate Change conferences, I've highlighted the specific difficulties of climate change our country faces. These include:
- Rising sea levels
- Coastal erosion
- Extreme weather events
To combat these difficulties, the solutions I aim to see demonstrated through this project require expertise and experience in:
- Development of coastal protection measures
- Implementation of renewable energy projects
- Adoption of climate-resilient agricultural practices
It is expected that these initiatives will lead to the:
- Reduction of vulnerability to climate change impacts
- Enhancement of resilience to extreme weather events
Therefore, professionals with experience in environmental conservation, renewable energy projects, and climate-resilient agricultural practices will be instrumental to the success of this project. Demonstrated experience in advanced coastal protection engineering is equally beneficial. By addressing these challenges, we will ensure sustainability and resilience for Belize in the face of varying climate change impacts.
