Design a PCB to read an analogue signal from a strain gauge (Load Cell) with the reading ultimately being read using a Raspberry Pi or Arduino. The strain gauge we need to use is an H10J-15t-32-dxx Load cell. Product Details: [login to view URL] Product Datasheet: [login to view URL] The problem is the small voltage coming from the strain gauge. The strain gauge sensitivity is .045 mV/V + or - 0.05 @ 6 tonnes We have tried various analogue to digital boards which have worked with the smaller strain gauges up to 50kg, but we need to measure accurately on this strain gauge which measures up to 15 tonnes. We need to be able to measure within an accuracy of + or - 10 kg but would prefer to 1 kg We need to be able to connect up to 8 load cells. This should be on one board. We have not been able to read the small signals with the following A2D boards ADS1115, ADS1015 and MCP3008 with amplifiers. We would like you to give a brief description of your solution identifying any components you think would be able to handle the measurement of such a small voltage. If a board is developed or if you are going to use an existing board, then we need to be able to interface with the board using a Raspberry Pi. We will only release funds after we have a prototype built, tested and reading the measurements accurately. Required: - PCB Design (Gerber file format preferred) Component list and a Bill of Materials. An indication of the build cost of the board and components,

Use instrumentation amplifier IC AD623, AD624 or some similar (gain=1000) Feed analog signal from load cell to instr amp Feed o/p of ampl into analog port of Arduino Do rest of calculations on Arduino Relevant Skills and Experience Luckily I'm working these days on similar project at uni. It includes 200N donut load cell that is mounted below a cylinder upon which water droplets will freeze. I'm able to read on Arduino Proposed Milestones £194 GBP - Arduino Code £194.89 GBP - Circuitry The sensor I'm using has even less sensitivity (0.01764mV/V). And I'm able to read in milligrams. My sensor was special one (about 12000 NOK) with some other stuff. Your project will include the cost of sensor, instrumentation amplifier IC, some resistors, batteries. I have worked on Arduino so I might not be able to suggest for Raspberry Pi.

I have over 35 years experience as an electronic design engineer, please see my profile for more details Ignore bid price at the moment Best Regards Dave Lelievre poole Dorset Relevant Skills and Experience I have extensive experience in designing load cell interfaces and sensors with very low outputs Proposed Milestones £833 GBP - To be discussed I am afraid that you are pissing in the wind if you try to use the ADCs you described. 50 ton is 45000kg. (a 12 bit ADC is only 1 in 4096) In order to have any chance of achieving this you need a 24bit ADC. Also it must be a digital interface to your main computer. Even then it will be difficult and you should consider having multiple load cells for the one load to increase your chances of achieving this. I believe I have a frighting chance but could not accept your terms. It would have to be staged payments.

I have worked on 200 kg load cell with an accuracy of +-100 gms. The system I have developed can also send the measured weight into an Android app via bluetooth. It should also provide the calibration as well in case the system malfunctioning. Calibration is done via Android app or via a given hardware button.

I'm a mechatronics engineer. I have worked long time for about 5 years in industrial field. I soved many problems using arduino and respberry pi , so i have good programming skills. I'm interested in working with you I recently made a project using load cell 200kg with Arduino so I'm sure that I can do this project for you How many wireless the load cell that you have had and how many load cells do you want to connect?

Hello, I'm applying for the job you posted. To solve the problem, I'll build a voltage amplifier, it will be an output to the strain gauge and an input to the Arduino, by knowing the amplifier gain, I will introduce it in the Arduino code and therefore make accurate measurements. If you're interested by this method, please contact me. thanks.

Hi, I can integrate a loadcell using hx711 (24bit adc ~8bit noise) or 12 bit mcp3208 adc with atmega32. And results could be provided using serial output for any device including rasp pi. Relevant Skills and Experience In the field i experienced about force and load measurement for high loads. For this study; In theory you can get under 1 kg resolution about 0.23kg. And in field proper ratio is about 1/2400.
