Hi, we need to have designed a 2 page info sheet showing the project we have just completed. To be delivered in PDF and AI/PSD format. The factory was experiencing grid stability issues, power quality concerns and a planned expansion of factory output meant the existing grid connection would be insufficient to keep up with the increased load. An existing solar array was under performing and a worn out generator was used to supplement the energy supply. Subtitle: The Walnut Energy solution Text: As project developer Walnut Energy provided the largest privately owned microgrid set-up of its kind in Western Australia. Using the latest in battery technology a microgrid was established to shield the factory from external energy fluctuations from the grid. Samsung SDI Li-Ion batteries were used in a secure containerised solution to provide stability and security to the internal energy supply within the factory. The existing PV array was checked, faults were resolved and the array was brought under the control of the microgrid. In addition to this the array was expanded to now include a total of 348kWp of solar PV modules. External generators are used within the system to provide redundancy and additional power supply when required. Microgrid partner SwitchdIn provided the Energy Management System (EMS) which allows for BMS integration, PCS control, generator control, remote monitoring & control of the solar PV arrays. The system is customised and calibrated to meet the factory's exact needs, offers flexible expansion options for future use and works independent and in collaboration with the external grid connection.
