I have a project which will use Siemens TC65 GSM modem which will be connected to customer hardware and using 19200bps. The TC65 will read some data on its General Purpose IO (GPIO) lines. As and when the data is read on the GPIO lines, the modem should send the captured/read data to an email address defined on the SIM card. It will also need to report the IMEI or SIM ID so that each site can be individually identified. It will also have a push button and two LEDs. The push button is needed to start the operation and LEDs to show the status of the operation, for example when the email is being sent via GPRS, the Green LED should blink, when everything is OK wiht the modem and the system, the Green LED should just stay ON if the GPRS link is lost or the email fails etc the RED LED should blink.

You'll have to write the code in its very very simplest form as I don't know much about Java but would need to understand the working of it. Maximum comments are required with the project.
