467360 Web Designer/Graphic Designer (100-150 USD per 1-pg mock-up)

Hi, I'm looking for a web designer & graphic designer for long-term work. I have a strong preference to work with someone from the US or Canada but UK and Australia are also acceptable. I need someone that can understand what I'm looking for in terms of aesthetics. If you're from a different country from those listed above, you REALLY need to be good. I run a small consulting company and we could really use a talented, versatile web designer for various projects. PREFERRED SKILLS: *Use of Adobe tools is preferred. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, etc) This is what I use and it would make things easier if we used similar tools. *Bonus points if you know how to work with HTML and CSS. We can usually handle these elements ourselves but it's nice if the designer is also familiar with what can and can't be easily done on a webpage. *Double bonus points if you're strong with more advanced tools like flash, javascript, and/or jQuery. PREFERRED STYLE: *We usually will design two different kinds of sites: "hip" and "professional". *Hip sites are relatively trendy, but still pretty simple. It's important to have smart uses of fonts, clean layouts, color, and some graphics. These will usually be sites for models, photographers, actors, and musicians. *Professional sites are much more standard, using subtle graphics, basic colors and fonts with enough of a creative touch to look very professional. These sites should be more about UI than about showing off how creative a designer you are. These will usually be websites for companies, web stores, web apps, etc. TYPICAL TASKS: *We generally only need mock-ups, preferably with .psd files with the required elements so that we can break it out into a working webpage. *Simple logo design (usually not much more than stylized text and/or a very simple graphic) might be involved with some projects *MOST OF THE TIME WE ONLY NEED ONE PAGE. This page would be for internal use only so it wouldn't need to be super polished, just ready to go with the core graphic elements. *Our typical rate for this kind of work would be $100-150. If you're the type of creative professional we're looking for, most mock-ups would only take 2-4 hours of work. We understand that some tasks are more complicated and can compensate accordingly. Of course, some other tasks would be even simpler and would expect you to discount accordingly. *We would STRONGLY prefer someone who can consistently deliver within 12-24 hours. In some cases, maybe 48 hours. We work fast and hard and like to avoid bottlenecks. *We pay by paypal. *We have immediate work available. We will have plenty of work available, long-term, for the right person.
