Shell Scripting Expert Needed for Linux Server

Firstly, I got experience running modded game servers with extensive database to manage. I had met with countless situations where databases got piled up and had to arrange and document data for MySQL tables to smaller ones. So, I had to automate this task. Secondly, I have experience with Javascript, which will help us to fetch or put data from/to a certain website and navigate though it and grab any required information from it. So, I believe you are looking for a person who is experienced with automation and databases which makes me, just the person for this task. Moreover, I am new to freelancer.com, I haven't done any projects so far yet. And If I were to take this project, I would write THE bot in C#(since it's linux, we can use mono)or if you have any language preference, I can do it as your choice, preferably python since it's linux?

I , myself was a bash script guru some years back knowing the ins and outs of systems, networking and text processing with such things like bash, sed, awk, perl etc and tons and tons of command line tools. But now I am little bit rusty and also out of luck . I want to kickstart my new bash and scripting work portfolio . I can take up this work for $4 per hour with reasonable productivity level.
