DESCRIPTION This project aims to craft a functional and aesthetically pleasing accessory inspired by Scandinavian furniture style. This holder will provide a stylish solution for organising and storing reading glasses or sunglasses while adding a decorative touch to kitchen benches or small tables. PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS Aesthetic: The holder will embody the clean lines, minimalist forms, and natural materials characteristic of Scandinavian design. Functional and Decorative: The holder will be designed to accommodate three pairs of reading glasses or sunglasses, allowing for convenient storage and accessibility. The holder will also serve as a decorative piece, enhancing the visual appeal of its surroundings. Compact Size: The holder will be compact enough to sit comfortably on kitchen benches or small tables without occupying excessive space. Creative solutions to this problem are encouraged. Durable Construction: Crafted from high-quality wood, the holder will be sturdy and durable, ensuring long-lasting use. It should have weight, to convey a premium quality. Material: The holder will be constructed primarily from wood, with a preference for light-toned woods such as birch or beech to align with Scandinavian design principles. Slots for Glasses: The holder will feature three places, each designed to securely hold a single pair of reading or sunglasses, preventing them from slipping or falling. The glasses will be stored upright. I.e., they will not be faced down, as to avoid scratching. Physical Appearance: The surface of the holder will be sanded and finished to achieve a smooth texture and a polished appearance. I can provide a Pinterest mood board that suggests the style the holder should be created in. Hi there, This is Bogdan Andrei from Romania. I'm a professional freelancer specializing in product design across multiple activity fields. First of all, upon making contact, I could share with you a range of furniture which I've designed and manufactured, in the purest Scandinavian style - metal (for legs) and cork and bamboo for the rest. This brings me to the discussion about the material - I highly recommend using layered bamboo, eventually, caramel toned - it looks fantastic and it fits perfectly to your product. Will be extremely useful to see your mood board to figure out the style you wish to bring to life. Except for the weight of the holder, there are several other things to add to make it a premium product. As for the outcome, I will provide you with manufacturing-ready files - stp for CNC carving and assembly files. For the visualization, I will provide you with several rendered soft wood pics, so you will choose from them, and upon final decision, will make more (different rendering setups) pics. For this stage, I could only make one mockup on which to have several iterations - I do only parametric design, no free-hand surface modeling, and this is more complex and time-consuming... but I could assure you, that will make you happy with the final product. What should be discussed, is the inner cushioning, as it requires some "harmonization" features to fit with the style and premium label. Regards Bogdan
