Here are some details: On January 5th there was a purchase of $2,918.89 She returned items for $1,007.03 on January 26th UPS only delivered some of the packages. I helped my mom submit a claim for $1,911.86 and this claim was approved. We are still working this claim with the credit card company. This is where it gets interesting. They rebilled my mom for the WHOLE amount as if she never returned any of the items. She was charged $2,918.89 on April 18th. We don't think that is fair because she returned some items back. Something else to consider for the statement period of February 24th-March 26th the statement period was -$845. So the credit card company sent a $845 check in the mail. And later on she was charged for the $845 on March 30th. When my mom called the company and asked why this happened to her the representative told her it was because the $1,007.03 that was issued as a credit was a mistake. But that just doesn't add up. My mom has also had a tough time sending payments and having refunds approved. She has gotten broken items and will take them in store to return them, a refund in then process by the company such as Target, but the credit card company won't always add the refund. She has called reminding them to update her account. She thinks that maybe there has been some payments that didn't go through even though the money was taken out of her bank account. And maybe the credit card company missed some refunds. Its hard because she has such a bad memory. The good thing is there is in fact a paper trail.
