Who We Are: Queerie is a pre-launch geosocial mobile app dedicated to connecting our community of LGBTQIA+ members with other like-minded folx, as well as highly relevant local events, services, resources, and other things that enhance our lives and give us joy. See more at [login to view URL] We are looking for a seasoned Flutter & Dart mobile app developer to create a cross-platform social networking application that runs smoothly on both Android and iOS. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Dart programming language and the Flutter framework, as well as experience with mobile app development. Work needs to be executed during USA EAST Coast hours so member can collaborate with the current team and lead engineer. The primary function of this app centers around social interaction among users, including: - Creating and managing user profiles - Sending and receiving friend requests - Establishing connections within the platform - Providing a robust messaging system - Generating and attending events Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience: Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the mobile app using Dart and Flutter Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and implement new features Ensure the app is scalable, maintainable, and performant Write clean, well-documented, and testable code Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise Requirements: Strong experience with the Dart programming language and the Flutter framework Strong experience with mobile app development Thrive in a remote work environment with ability to work independently be a self self-motivated Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with modern Git workflows Experience with Agile development methodologies Nice to have: Experience with developing apps for iOS and Android Experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions Experience designing GraphQL APIs Experience interfacing with AI and Machine Learning Solid PostgreSQL experience I'm aiming for an intuitive, user-friendly app design that can support a growing user base with minimal bugs.
