I am originally from South Africa (been in the UK for 3 years now) so am familiar with climate conditions and building regulations. I also grew up holidaying in the Mosselbay area where my family owns a 'Kapstyl' house made entirely out of thatch, this house I've personally rethatched sections so know how it all comes together too.
