I'm compiling baseball stats for every Dominican player that's ever signed a contract with an MLB team. I already have the excel list of the players' names and the needed stats. Using [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] (fangraphs probably more often will have the stats), I need someone to collect/mine the data and properly enter it into the excel spreadsheet I will give you. This is not hard at all. You MUST, ABSOLUTELY MUST have a basic (at the very least) understanding of the sport of baseball. After you look for a player's name on baseball reference, see if he's made it to the major leagues or if he's only played in the minor leagues. If he's a batter and only been in the minor leagues, enter his career batting totals for his time in the minors. If he's a pitcher, enter his career minor league pitching stats. If there are career total stats for time in the major leagues, ignore the minor league data and enter the major league career stats. Again, I will give you the statistical categories you need to enter. If you can’t find the statistical information for a certain player or are not sure it’s the right guy (many common/repeat Latin American names in the list), just leave it blank. If it’s a common name, you can use clues like the year he signed and the team, to figure out if you have the right guy. There are 8,049 names!
