Generate P & L Statement - Bookkeeping Services Needed by Non-Profit

We are a small non-profit animal rescue organization with an initial and then ongoing need for a bookkeeper. Someone competent and experienced with Excel and/or Quickbooks will enter bank statements into a P&L spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will list each expense by pre-established [login to view URL] of course must be correct so you will need accurate entry skills with the knowledge to check and/or re-calculate Excel formulas. One year of statements will be scanned and emailed to you. There are two accounts, one of which is a general account where most expenses will be listed, the other is our merchant processing account and is used primarily as a transfer account and is not generally used for purchases. I anticipate several drafts going back and forth so that I can clarify that the correct category is assigned to each purchase since not all purchases from a single vendor represent the same category. After the completion of this initial assignment to bring accounts up to date for official Tax purposes this may become a monthly/quarterly project to continue on an ongoing basis. We can negotiate a fair fee for the ongoing service once the initial project is completed. We need this project started immediately once the last monthly statement is scanned and delivered to you (likely within 24-48 hrs). Please address your experience and in particular if you have experience with non-profit organizations, as classifications/categories are assigned differently. One example would be how a travel or meals expense is an actual project cost to our organization and isn't treated the same way as it would be as part of a for-profit company's operation. .I will also attach a sample P&L Spreadsheet that is complete and a ledger that needs to be converted into a cash-flow spreadsheet. I would also like to discuss having all of the data entered into Quickbooks and then the possibility of maintaining our Quickbooks on an ongoing basis. Dear Sir or Madam I am relatively new to this site and hence you can see that I do not have many ratings/testimonials to show you, but the feedback I've had from Freelancer employers so far has been excellent. I can assure you that if you work with me once, you will always work with me for this kind of project. I am qualified AAT/part qualified ACCA and have worked in finance for 15 years, working with businesses ranging from sole traders to international manufacturing companies, preparing management accounts and returns and all types of ledger and reconciliation work. I am currently employed as a Cost Analyst at Nissan UK, and I joined Freelancer to undertake more bookkeeping and varied accounting work and I hope to be able to become self-employed in this line of business at some point in the future. It would be a pleasure for me to work for such a noble organisation as an animal rescue - I rehomed a little Jack Russell last year (he is the love of my life!), and I regularly organise fund raising events to support local animal rescues in my home town. I don't have any practical experience of preparing reports for not-for-profit organisations but am aware of the distinctions from my studies.
