We are a property investment company with a number (currently 5) major properties most of which have (marginally different shareholdings to the others). They are funded by a combination of shareholder funds (loans) and third party loans. We keep individual spreadsheets for each then consolidate back to a combined broken down to the position of each individual shareholder - cashflow and balance sheet. Whilst we have built the models ourselves and they are doing the job (15 year rolling projections) the models could clearly be improved and automated. Currently they are quite separate from the accounting system and it may be that its worthwhile in the future to link the two. The current models contain "actuals" and forecasts - in the case of the former they are reconciled back to accounts - bank and financial. We are looking for someone to review existing models, modify them so as to make them simpler and more robust - yet still able to be used by "our" people.
