Hey there, Sure, we can add a delay into the extension and after signup process is completed then the user gets the access to the extension but it will take some time as I have to look into all the existing code. I understand you have two issues that need fixing and a mini-project that needs completing - if I make changes to the extension it doesn't get updated immediately, and when users hit the "Load unpacked" button for this extension the admin screen comes up with a few questions which shouldn't be necessary when someone has filled in all details and accepted the terms of conditions. My solution would be to delay installing the extension until terms of conditions are accepted so it doesn't get installed until they are ready to use it. Additionally, I would ensure that an API call is invoked whenever Google Meet/Hangout/Chat messages are posted so they can receive alerts based on result.
