Book cover artwork

I'm looking for an enthusiastic and creative artist to help create a custom book cover artwork for my non-fiction book. The style of artwork should be abstract, with the artist being able to use their imagination to explore different color palettes that they feel would suit the theme of my story. I'm open to the artist's interpretation of what would work best visually, and I'm looking forward to seeing the artist's ideas! The book covers three high profile criminal cases I had as a special agent for the U S Customs service in the early 1990’s. All took place in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida so I would like to use and abstract view of the distinctive Sunshine Skyway Bridge in the background To set the venue. The most visual story gets into the dark acts of a notorious serial rapist and murderer. His victims were found partially naked and bound and tied to cinder blocks floating in the Bay. Law enforcement used billboards over the area with pictures of a mother and her young daughters who were victims. There was also an artist sketch of the killer and handwriting examples, all images I’d like to incorporate somehow. Another case deals with a cruise ship passing under the Skyway bridge. Another case involves an NFL player who was involved in using heroin swallowers traveling on international flights. I’d like an airliner passing overhead. My book will be self published so my budget is small, but I think a great cover that incorporates all of these things in a dramatic, abstract way would be very appealing. I have actual pictures of these things if someone is interested in working with me.
