We have 80 stock images that we use in a personality test on our dating website that need to be illustrated. We'd like these illustrations to be all of a similar style and can even involve similar characters. We were thinking something between the whimsical style of the character on [login to view URL] and the heading sketches on A List Aparts articles. Here's a sample of one of the stock photography pieces we want to replace with an illustration: [login to view URL] In this example a character could be displayed as being frustrated. The same character could then be shown in the following stock photo: [login to view URL] as doing something dangerous. The only aspect of the stock photography that needs to be maintained is the "flavor".
