To design a functional modern house with simple yet elegant design to be built in an upcoming residential area in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. It is mostly hot and humid climate. For Family of 4 with 2 boys aged 6 & 3. Plot Dimensions are 36 x 65 feet rectangular plot. East facing plot. Requirements: Living Dining (can be combined with Living) Kids Study room (will only be used for Studies) Kitchen + Service Master Bedroom with walk-in wardrobe Kids Bedroom Guest Bedroom (will use Murphy bed here) Laundry room Work room / Study room Private Gym Entertainment room (Indoor games, maybe have table tennis, carrom, etc) Covered car park for 2 cars Not mandatory for now and can have Provision for 1 bed room 1 Media room (TV / home theatre setup) Open area outside for basketball / mini-football etc. Safety and Privacy is important. Passive designs are preferred. Can have a open to sky courtyard. It should be a fun place. We entertain guests frequently, so any open area / balcony near living room which could extend the space would be great.
