Add jquery/javascript and clean up css to html page

I have a webpage already designed in html and css, and need the finishing touches with proper interactivity to specific modules within the page (menu dropdowns, search tab and nav button hover/select behaviors) One specific example is the News Module. The module has three functions where the main category can be changed via dropdown (from Global News to Local News to Political News, etc.) and sort within the category via second dropdown (Global: Most Recommended, Most Popular; Local: America, Europe, Asia, Africa; Political: No dropdown needed). I am not asking for working sort logic, but for purely demonstration purpose of interactively switching content. The exact style i want for the dropdown is what you see on bbcdotcouk slash wales - in the What's On module. As a design guy myself, the interaction needs to look good on all browsers. I also welcome any css revisions as well if you think css cleanup is needed. Thanks.
