Hello I have 10+ years of experience. Even thou I am new to freelancer I am well aware about structural integrity analysis, failure analysis and report generation as per industrial standard. I like to know more about the project. Use of thin Aluminium tube is a wise design however welding can be a challenge. Coming to failure of such joints, they are more prone to the failure because of the loss of material strength in weld affected zone and weld mismatch in actual welding processes. This has to be addressed by external calculation which can not be done directly in FEA software. I would suggest to do fatigue analysis on the obtained stresses as most of the time failure are observed due to fatigue than the static stress failure. Considering Damage parameter -IIW equivalent is recommends using the Gough-Pollard criterion for welded joints subjected to multiaxial loading condition. I can also do fatigue analysis and provide the report also, if you are aware about the loading cycles / condition. No extra cost…..however I may need 3 days for this work Regards Tech P
