UPC/EAN Barcode Recognition on iPhone

iPhone application which can accept UPC, EAN, and Code 3 of 9 barcodes via keyboard or camera (support required for 3GS camera only). Uses recognized barcode to launch URL (e.g. [login to view URL]) and return the HTML from that URL in an integral browser window. **A bonus of $250 will be paid if the coder can provide a demoable version of this application by 7/22 [shows interface, works for at least one camera-shot code])** Functionally: 1. Show application logo with buttons to type or take picture of a barcode a. If Picture option is chosen, show live camera preview and some sort of feedback to allow the user to line up and take an acceptable picture ![][1] (full-size version of sample at [login to view URL]) 2. Recognize barcode. a. If not recognizable, warn user and return to step 1. b. If recognized, go to URL, passing barcode as parameter 3. Bring back results of URL (web page) in window, with on-screen interface present (button) to allow user to "Check another item" ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform iPhone 3G. Camera support only required for 3GS or later (OK have message telling user their older iPhone does not support camera use as it's difficult to get a usable picture on earlier iPhones).
