Hi There: I need two functions, one to backup a directory and its files recursively to a mysql database, and one to restore a directory and its files to a mysql database. function dir2mysql($directory,$db,$flags) - gets an absolute source directory and a connection array in $db ($db[hostname] etc). Script will recursively store files and their file structure, permissions, owners, groups etc, including binary files, into the database specified in $db[dbname]. function mysql2dir($directory,$db,$flags) - destination directory and $db connection array. Script will restore all files from destination directory down to original location. Files will have exactly the same structure, permissions, groups etc as when they went into the db... In both cases, $flags is an array of options: $f[replace] = always|new|never - source overwrites destination ~ all (always), new (only if source is newer than destination), never (never overwrites, skips). $f[clean] = true | false - if true, destination directory / database is emptied before backup. That's all! C
