558482 Update Papercut to access updated Phorum (PHP & Python)

Phorum is an open source PHP web forum that uses a mysql backend. Papercut is a news server written in pure Python, that permits access to Phorum's message store via the NNTP protocol. (phorum: [login to view URL] , papercut: [login to view URL]) The last version of Papercut was released in 2005 and the latest version of Phorum has changed in a way that Papercut no longer works the way it should. The project consists of modifying an existing installation of Papercut so that it works with the newer, installed version of Phorum (v5). You will have: existing mysql installation, existing phorum installation, existing papercut installation, and shell (SSH) access to the webserver. Your job is to update the Papercut Python code so it can access Phorum's mysql database to post, read, and respond to messages. Because the existing software is "almost right," I think this project will involve minor tweaks of the existing code, not extensive re-writes.
