Data Compression Techniques

Its my course project. For certain reaons I am not able to find time to complete it. So I need your help. The idea is to implement a few data compression techniques including lossy and lossless techniques. Then make a user frienly GUI allowing the user to select any alogorithm for any specicified file (Even though that may not be the optimal one for it). In the final report give certain statistics that running x,y,z alogorithms on various data type files produce m% of compression thus finding an optimal algo for a that type of data file. The project is research oriented so we need to put in certain changes in a few algorithms which are available in books and the net. Like make better use of the table created in the LZW compression algorithm. This is not a must for the project but shall be an advantage. Keep in mind its something like Winzip. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
