PHP - AJAX / jQuery Troubleshooting

I am in need of a expert level PHP developer who has extensive experience with ajax, jQuery, and Javascript to troubleshoot a specific function that is not working as intended on my website. The ideal candidate will have experience in both PHP and be able to quickly identify and fix the issue. The project requires that you DO NOT make changes without making a backup of files modified, and you MUST keep a written change log ( [login to view URL] ) to be shared on the server. The issue: Our website parses a remote text file for 4 to 5 precious metal stock market trading prices, inserts them into our MySQL database and then uses a function to display these price changes every 60 seconds within certain areas of our website. The remote price text file import function is working fine with no issues. The price DISPLAY function refreshes price cells every 60 second’s via an ajax call, without refreshing the whole website. We have two areas that automatically display & refresh pricing information. One of areas that displays live price updates is called the SPOT price box, see the attached image.. this area works perfect with no issues. The other area that also displays updated price data is called the product display box, currently the product display boxes only reflect changes IF you manually refresh the web browser. These features were both working for many years, but at some point a few months ago the product display stopped updating automatically and will only reflect a change if you manually refresh the browser. Important Note* Stock market prices usually change every minute from 8am EST to 5pm EST. - After 5pm they slow down, and may only change every 1-5 minutes. I am not sure the exact date where the automated price refresh feature stopped updating in the browser automatically. If you manually fetch ( refresh the browser ) the prices will update, so long as you've seen a price change in the SPOT price box, if you refresh the page, you'll typically see the product prices change as well. There may be a depreciated function, a syntax issue or something similar that is simple. The URL will be shared privately with a developer I am interested in possibly working with.. My desired outcome for this project is to fix the specific functionality that is not working due to the AJAX issue. Skills and experience needed for this job include: - Strong proficiency in PHP and AJAX - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving AJAX issues - Knowledge of jQuery is a plus
