I have a "Veris H8036" connected to a PC via RS485-USB converter. [login to view URL] His documentation can be found here: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] As I do not know anything about modbus, I need a program that does the daily log, for example by creating a file "txt / csv" per day. Eventually, this log could be created in a SQL database. With this data I intend to do later reports, queries, charts, etc. on a web page for consultation and monitoring of three-phase network of my house. In principle, this work is not part of this consultation, but I could be interested in analyzing a proposal for all this work. You do not need much improvement as it is for personal use only. I can also be interested in enjoying a complete solution in ScadaBR local server with remote access. The daily log will be to put online but, given the possibility of cuts on the internet, it will also be obligatorily off-line on the PC, in order to as not to lose data. The Veris does not give consumption per phase. It only lets you see the total consumption. However, it will be necessary to consult the consumption per phase, which will have to be calculated. I can give the formulas for this. Would you be interested in analyzing this work and give me a proposal to run? Thank you very much.

Hi, I used to work with serial devices like UART and converters. The main aim i got to know from the description is that we have to save some data in the database and have to be available offline on hard disk. I hope you would be using some linux system. We can create perl scripts and save the data in the database. Also, we can create a cron job which will call that perl script daily. Mostly USB related transfer data comes to a file residing in "/var/log/syslog" in linux. So, we can fetch the data and then upload to server and in sql. Hello, I can create a Labview program to do this data logging. For testing it I will need remote access to your computer where the device is connected, For a better data manipulation I can save the data in some specific Labview files or .txt or .csv files based on your request. How often do you want to read data from the device? Each second or even faster? You will receive an installer so no license is needed on your computer.
