Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Product Designer to join our project on a freelance basis. The goal is to design a new frame for a racing simulator that replicates the Formula 1 seating position. This innovative project aims not only to enhance the user experience with an original and attractive design but also to consider manufacturing efficiencies, specifically in terms of packaging and assembly. Responsibilities: -Design a frame for a Formula 1 style racing simulator that aligns with the provided seat design specifications. -Focus on a modular design that can be easily disassembled into smaller pieces for efficient packaging and shipping. -Innovate beyond traditional racing simulators, ensuring the design is both functional and visually appealing. -Consider the use of materials such as square and round tubing, metal plates, and aluminum extrusion bars in the design. -Collaborate remotely with our team to iterate on design concepts and finalize drawings. -Provide detailed CAD drawings and possibly 3D models ready for manufacturing. Requirements: -Proven experience in product design, particularly with furniture or similar structures. -Proficiency in CAD software and any relevant design tools necessary for rendering and creating detailed manufacturing drawings. -Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. -Ability to work independently and creatively to deliver new and unique design solutions. -Excellent communication skills to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and updates. -Portfolio of previous work that showcases your ability to innovate and design complex products. Deliverables: -Initial design concepts based on requirements within the first week of engagement. -Refined designs and CAD drawings ready for review and adjustments. -Final detailed CAD drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
