Coca-Cola social media guidelines

As we are increasingly are working in a digital workplace where we are hyper connected with both internal and external stakeholders it is important to have clear social guidelines within and organisational setting. These guidelines need to be reviewed regularly and updated in light of the proliferation of ever-evolving technologies and online tools available to all employees to use when communicating both externally and internally. For the company I have selected (Coca Cola), you are required to identify if they currently have a social media guideline. If they do you will be required to update this guideline. You can either use track changes to show what changes have been made by you and explain why you are making these changes by using the “+ comment” in the Insert section in Microsoft word, or you will need to create a new guideline. The following must be included: 1. A pre-amble about why having a social media guideline is imperative for your business. 2. Identify who can use social media within your company (update, post and/or comment on responses made by other users on the official company related social media platform(s). Also discuss what levels of access will be granted to the various staff members who have permission to post and update the site(s) and those who can also respond to comments by users. Use job titles rather than names. 3. Provide a list of 5 social media guidelines that staff at your company will need to adhere to. (This needs to be matched up with the company’s overall guidelines for business conduct and other related policies.) If the company already has a policy use track changes (insert: + comment) to update or modify an existing policy in line with other business policies. 4. Provide a detailed discussion as to the rationale for either modifying or introducing each other the above 5 guidelines. Please ensure that it is linked back to other company policies. 5. Discuss how changes to the existing social media guidelines or the new guidelines will be communicated with staff. Come up with 3 communication tools Coca Cola can use to communicate existence of these policy guidelines.
