Hi I have been working with MSSQL for over 17 years. I am fully experienced as a developer and a DBA. Currently I am working at big financial organization in which I am responsible for the BI department. I have designed and the Developed the Organization’s Reporting Database which has been constructed with SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition. The database is being updated daily from the core system with txt or excel files via SSIS or with direct connection at mainframe’s DB2 and a numerous of KPIS are being daily updated during the ETL. For isolation reasons the KPIS are replicated to another DB (with transactional replication) which exploits dashboards via Power BI and reports via SSRS to the consumers. Some KPIS are being replicated with merged (bidirectional) replication. Also, 10 Cubes in SSAS are being daily automatically processed and the end of the ETL. Several other reports are daily automatically produced and sent via email to the recipients. Finally I have designed and developed the bank’s crm DB which is published on the intranet. The DB holds full information about the customers (Customers,Addresses , Financial Data , Contacts , campaigns , etc) and covers 4 countries. To achieve this i have made partitions over the country code. The size of the Reporting DB, is about 4TB and consists of about 4.000 objects and the replicated KPI DB is 350GB. Best Regards mpalgeo

Hello there! I'm Bob and am ready to take part in this project. I had an assignments like this before, although the technology wasn't so improved as it is currently. Based on experience, it is necessary to develop additional application(s) (Windows Service(s)) that gather the data and post them to an intranet server which consolidates them and run analyzes. So the first priority would be to determine the ability to pull the data out of the respective system. The obvious question so far is what are the databases behind these applications? Are we lucky and they are all MS SQL databases? Do we have others? MS Access, dBase? Anything else? In fact it doesn't matter what the exact database engine is with respect to development. It does matter for performance... In past projects, I developed a WEB application and deployed it in the customers intranet. Then a Windows Service was developed and deployed on the application server. This Windows Service is monitoring the database and exports the data to the web application, which in turn, saves them to an MS SQL database. In another project of mine, the source DB was in the ancient dBase format. So instead of monitoring it, the services app just was running on a time interval, collecting any new data that might be found... It'll be a pleasure for me to accomplish one more project, related to data extraction and analyze. So let's get this job started, then finished!
