With Canonical, I worked on their fully automated testing infrastructure for kernel smoke testing, as well as automated installs for CD image testing near release time (with Ubuntu).
As far as FAI and cfengine, I didn't know cfengine was still around. I have some broad experience with it from back at NASA LaRC on all of their Unix systems (AIX, Solaris, Linux), but that's far in the past. It will take me a few hours to get back up to speed with those technologies.
