Hello all! I own a Wi-Fi Hotspot Mangement Company ([login to view URL]). I use an administration SAAS company called Sputnik ([login to view URL]) to manage the hotspots. Basically, sputnik provides a version of the popular opensource DD-WRT firmware with an addon that allows the router to be connected to the backend infastructure so that it can be remotely managed. Presently, I'm using Linkys WRT54GL routers with the firmware. However, I've been talking to a representative with Netgear who has recently put out their new opensource router (the WGR614L). He's let me know that if I choose to switch to Netgear I'll receive a discount and referals for new clients.
To the project: the DD-WRT version for the Linksys router has the sputnik code built into the firmware. The DD-WRT firmware for the Netgear router does not. I need to port the Sputnik code over to the Netgear router firmware so that I can move to those new routers.
