This project is about 2 iButtons: DS1963S and DS1961S
(I attached the specs sheet for both of these iButtons to this email).
DS1961S
This iButton allows user to read the data,
But when user wants to write data to this iButton, the user must go through an SHA authentication with a DS1963S iButton.
The password stored in the DS1961S and DS1963S must match in order for the SHA authentication to be correct.
Once the SHA Authetication is validated, then the new data can be written to the DS1961S.
DS1963S
This iButton has several memory pages that can be read and written to without restriction.
It also has a secret password which is used in SHA authentication with a DS196S iButton.
I had a previous programmer make a couple of softwares for me in VB6 (I will provide those sample VB6 code when you accept my project).
One is a VB6 code for the SHA authentication between the DS1961S and DS1963S in order to write data to the DS1961S.
The second is a VB6 code for reading and writing to the memory pages of DS1963S.
I need a new VB6 software made for me to do the following:
1) Assign a matching password to both DS1961S and DS1963S iButtons (user should be able to choose any password of user's choice).
2) Perform SHA authentication between the DS1961S and DS1963S iButtons to write new data to DS1961S.
3) Read and write data to the DS1963S iButton.
4) Read data from the DS1961S iButton.
Also, the VB6 sample codes I have use a very old iButton driver (owapi and TMEX 3.0). You will need to convert them to work with the newer Windows-7 64-bit iButton drivers found on the iButton website:

Once you write the VB6 code, please send it to me so I can test it on my computer with the DS1961S and DS1963S iButtons that I have. I will then email you back any problems so you can debug the code and fix it on your end until we get it to work correctly. Or I can send you the iButton USB cable and DS1961S and DS1963S iButtons to fix it on your end.
The code must be in VB6 (not VB.net).
Thank You.
Negotiable. I have reviewed your bid request and I am very interested in your project. I was trained overseas and have an extensive customer service record so contact me so we can discuss further or begin. I work in milestones and the "payment for time" option. If payment is by milestones, then the milestones are 50% payment once the initial work/draft is done and the remaining can be paid if/when revisions are needed and completed. Bonuses welcomed and much appreciated. I've done many jobs on freelancer.com and hope for many with you and if nothing else add me to your coder list and notify me of your future jobs. Thanks.
